Stepping into the newly opened wing of PDX from the arrival terminal was transformative. The thoughtfully designed space, featuring warm, natural materials and elements, immediately exuded a sense of peace and tranquility. It felt cozy, inviting, and surprisingly calming—a true testament to the power of intentional design.
I recently had the opportunity to return to PDX to assist Sea Legs Media on a project for Freres Wood. My role involved capturing behind-the-scenes photography and architectural imagery of the space. It was fascinating to witness how the collaboration of various stakeholders—from material suppliers to designers and architects—came together to create such a cohesive, light-filled, and airy environment. This project is a beautiful example of how architecture and design can enhance not only a structure but also the experience of those who inhabit it.
